I found these reproduction OSJ medals for sale at an auction by Andreas Thies (http://www.andreas-thies.de/deutsch.html).
Unfortunately the opening price was a little high for reproductions.

The insignia includes the metal and embroidered breast stars and three crosses. Two have the helmet hangers (although one looks like a coconut) and the other the skull hanger used only on ladies (!) crosses.
The skull hanger was to remind ladies that the beauty in this world (including their own) was fleeting, and it is better to focus on more lasting virtues of honour, piety and devotion to family.
